Basic sim free mobile April 11, 2010 I. Hart 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A basic phone, lacking all the whistles & bells, camera or media player or anything else much - other than that it's a mobile phone.
If you want a spare phone, & you don't want or need it to be a Swiss Army Knife of a thing, then this is for you.
Duh....simple? April 2, 2010 Caroline Burghard (Sussex, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As an occasional cell phone user, even the basic technology is foreign territory to me and I was disappointed that the instructions for use seemed to be lacking the fundamentals, in that it is assumed that everyone already knows how to use the menu.....since I only want to make/receive calls, I gave up trying to find out how the torch worked, or the volume control etc. So, not really simple, but inexpensive, and has all the necessities for the occasional user - sim-free, un-locked, pay-as-you-go. Very good value.
All You Need! March 31, 2010 K. Picken (Stourbridge, England.) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I recommend this as a basic phone, and, yes, it includes a charger! If you want camera, internet and sat-nav etc. then you'll obviously need to pay a lot more. As a previous reviewer has said, when you first handle it you feel that it is light, plastic and cheap. With the battery fitted and switched on this impression quickly disappears. When I unpacked mine I thought I had made a mistaken purchase. The package had stickers on it declaring "Tesco Mobile", and it also had a phone number and SIM number printed on the packaging too - I thought it was a bespoke Tesco product! I needn't have worried; I just fitted my existing pay-as-you-go sim and switched on - it just worked straight away! There is the usual plain and simple Nokia menu and right-nav key etc, and I am entirely happy with the way it all works. I only use my phone for the telephony and the reminders and alarm aids, so I am getting all that I need for just £20.
